FEATURED NEOLOGISM:

One neologism that I find particularly interesting is “infodemic.” It’s a blend of “information” and “epidemic,” used to describe the overwhelming spread of misinformation, especially during health crises like the COVID-19 pandemic. The term first gained attention in early 2020, when the World Health Organization (WHO) used it to highlight how excessive or misleading information could spread just as fast as a virus, making it harder for people to find reliable facts. I find this term fascinating because it perfectly captures the challenge of navigating truth in the digital age, especially in fields like medicine, where accurate information is crucial.
