FEATURED NEOLOGISM:

Coquette, a French word that became a trend in Spanish during 2024. It refers to a romantic, soft and innocent aesthetic filled with bows and pastel colours that represent what’s traditionally considered feminine but also evokes a sense of empowerment. Before it became a trend and this new context reshaped its semantic value, “coquette” was used mostly in English to refer to promiscuous women.
