Representing the collaborators of ENEOLI Working Group 2 (WG2), Task 3, Neslihan Önder Özdemir and Anca Gață submitted the proposal entitled “Guidelines and Best Practices in Neology in Educational and Pedagogical Contexts for Innovation and Sustainability in Teaching and Learning Beyond Borders”. The proposal was presented by Neslihan Önder Özdemir at the International Perspectives in Education (IPiE 2026) Conference, held at Leeds Trinity University, Leeds, United Kingdom, on 4–5 June 2026.

The presentation addressed the growing need for systematic approaches to identifying, documenting, validating, and monitoring emerging educational and pedagogical terminology in multilingual contexts. It demonstrated how Educational Neology can support innovation, sustainability, and international knowledge exchange through shared methodological frameworks.
Key takeaway: Educational innovation requires more than new concepts; it requires clear guidelines and best practices for identifying, analysing, and documenting the terminology that emerges from educational change. A shared methodological framework is essential for ensuring consistency, collaboration, and knowledge transfer across languages and educational systems.
