Vincent Renner, from Université Lumière Lyon 2, had a three-day visit to the University of Oxford in June 2026. He was hosted by Alessandro Carlucci, from Pembroke College, and the two had the opportunity to start collaborating on a new research project focusing on historical metaneological discourse. Dr Renner also had meetings with Philip Durkin and Danica Salazar from the Oxford English Dictionary (OED) team at Oxford University Press in order to gain a better practical understanding of the categorization methods of OED lexicographers in the domain of formal neology. He is excited to report that the OED team is planning to soon publish their own glossary of lexicographical terms, which will be an invaluable resource for all neology scholars working on English.
