ENEOLI Final Year Meeting in Vienna

14.10.2026

ENEOLI held its final year meeting on September 28, 2026, at the Austrian Academy of Sciences in Vienna, bringing together members of the network’s Core Group and Working Groups 1 and 2 to review progress, discuss key deliverables, and plan the final steps of the last grant period ahead.

The day began with a Core Group Meeting, followed in the afternoon by sessions dedicated to Working Group 1 (WG1) and Working Group 2 (WG2). WG1 focused on progress, deliverables, and next steps, with contributions on the Editorial Style Guide, NeoVoc modelling, the group’s ongoing activities, and the final stages of its work. WG2 explored the transition from terminological neologism management to computational detection, featuring presentations on large-scale automatic neologism detection, term annotation and new functionalities in Corpuscle, and the Repository of Lexical Innovation. WG2 meeting recording is available on the ENEOLI YouTube channel.

The ENEOLI activities continued on September 29 as part of GWLN-8 (Global WordNet and Lexical Network Conference), which featured a dedicated ENEOLI session with oral presentations. The programme concluded with GWLN-8 poster presentations on September 30, held in conjunction with EURALEX 2026.

These meetings provided an opportunity to consolidate the project’s achievements, exchange perspectives on lexical innovation and neologism research, and strengthen collaboration on the documentation, annotation, and computational detection of emerging lexical phenomena.
