The conference, Dictionnaires et culture numérique dans l’espace francophone, 5ème édition, was held at the Université de Toulouse Jean-Jaurès from 12th to 13th June 2025.  This conference gathers together lexicographers and linguists working in the field of innovative web-based French-language dictionaries. The particular theme for this year’s session was collaboration in the field of online lexicography. Raquel Silva and John Humbley presented a paper, co-authored with Ana Salgado, on ENEOLI’s innovative action in authoring a multilingual glossary of neology on lexical innovation through collaborative practices. After explaining the aims of the Action, stress was laid on the methodology, in particular as used in Working Group 1 (Multilingual Glossary of Neology) in connection with building the bibliography and corpus (Task 1.2), the rationale for a French-language starter corpus and drafting glosses as a preliminary for establishing equivalences. The importance of the analysis of features included in the glosses was also stressed as a necessary conceptual basis for the multilingual glossary, just as the specificities of a glossary of human science terminology were addressed in the methodology.

The presentation sparked significant interest and led to fruitful discussions in particular with members of the host university, not (yet) members of ENEOLI but motivated by the innovative aspects of the Action, in particular the broad understanding of “inclusiveness”, which embraces not only gender issues as studied in WG 3.6 but also in the open attitude to all languages in ENEOLI and different theoretical options of the participants. 

Notable outcomes include the prospect of publication as an article to appear in the French open-access publication journal Corela (Poitiers) https://journals.openedition.org/corela/. The authors have announced that the article corresponding to the presentation given will be submitted for this publication.
