Ivana Filipović Petrović from Croatia participated in the XVIIth International Congress of Slavists, held from August 25 to 30, 2025, at the Centre Malesherbes of Sorbonne Université in Paris, supported by an ITC Conference Grant. She presented her research on phraseological modifications in Croatian, showing how innovative idiom variations reflect systematic patterns of lexical creativity.

Participation in the XVIIth International Congress of Slavists in Paris provided significant visibility for both my research and the COST Action ENEOLI. The accepted paper, Phraseological modifications in Croatian: from literary classics to contemporary usage (co-authored with Jelena Parizoska), was presented in front of an international audience of scholars working on Slavic linguistics, lexicology, and cultural studies. The presentation stimulated lively discussion and attracted interest from researchers focusing on idiomatic creativity, historical corpora, and neological processes in other Slavic languages.
