Ágústa Þorbergsdóttir holds an MA in Icelandic and General Linguistics from the University of Iceland (2000) and has been an ECQA Certified Terminology Manager since 2017. She works as a linguist at the Árni Magnússon Institute for Icelandic Studies, where she edits the Icelandic Term Bank (idord.arnastofnun.is) and the Icelandic Neologism Web (nyyrdi.arnastofnun.is). Since 2001, she has been involved in terminology work and management in Iceland, serving on various committees. Ágústa is the chair of the Icelandic Terminological Society and has been a board member of Nordterm since 2005. Additionally, she has participated in projects such as eTranslation Europe Facility and the Federated TermBank Network. Ágústa has published several papers on terminology and linguistics.
