Elettroencefalopiattista (whose electroencephalogram is flat). Used in italian to mock those who believe that the earth is flat (called terrapiattista) and other ‘conspiracy theories’: their electroencephalogram would therefore appear flat (piatto).

Associate Professor in French Language, Linguistics and Translation. Main research interests: French legal discourse, lexicology, lexicography and specialised lexicography, terminology, popularisation of legal knowledge. Together with the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, we are working on the creation of a multilingual glossary of typical products from Emilia Romagna (food and drink). More information about me.
