Cristina VARGA is a PhD lecturer in the Department of Modern Applied Languages at the Faculty of Letters of the Babeș-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca, where she teaches Informatics for Translators, Computer-Assisted Translation, Terminology and Audiovisual Translations. She obtained her PhD from the Babeș-Bolyai University and the Pompeu Fabra University in 2011, with the thesis: Knowledge transmission in cyberspace. Discourse Analysis of Professional Web Forums as Internet Subgenres.
Cristina Varga has extensive teaching experience (Romania, France, Spain, and Belgium).
Between 2018 and 2022, she was senior lecturer at the Faculté des Humanités de l’Université Catholique de l’Ouest (Angers), where she taught Computer Assisted Translation, Software Localization and Corpus for Translators, and visiting professor at the Université d’Angers and the Université du Mans (Le Mans). Between 2010 and 2018, she was visiting professor at Barcelona School of Management – Universitat Pompeu Fabra, where she taught Audiovisual Translation as part of the Master’s in Literary and Audiovisual Translation.
