Dorina Macovei holds a PhD in Philology and serves as a terminologist, senior scientific researcher, and university lecturer at Moldova State University in Chișinău. Her specialization lies in Romanian terminology and lexicography, with her research primarily focusing on the analysis of terminology systems across various disciplines and the investigation of the influence of cultural contexts on the development and use of terminology. In the field of neology, her research concentrates mainly on lexical innovation in response to social change and semantic shifts in neologisms. Her recent publications include “Terminologia ecologică în limba română. Analiză lexical-funcțională” (2020), “Dicționar poliglot de aforisme și expresii latine” (2022), and “Didactica metaforei.
