FEATURED NEOLOGISM:

Spill the 🍵 = share gossip/inside info.
“Tea” extends earlier slang T = “truth,” traced to Black drag culture; in this version, the emoji 🍵 functions as a playful visual stand-in for the noun.

Francesca Frontini obtained her PhD from the University of Pavia with a thesis on corpus linguistics. She is a Research Scientist at the Institute for Computational Linguistics (ILC-CNR) in Pisa, where she works on language resources, named entity recognition, and computational lexicography. She has participated in numerous European and national projects at the intersection of Language Technologies and Digital Humanities, and currently leads a work package in the Italian H2IOSC initiative on open science and research infrastructures. From 2020 to 2024, she served on the Board of Directors of the European CLARIN ERIC infrastructure. Within ENEOLI, she plans to contribute to WP2, focusing on the analysis of algospeak and other linguistic strategies for online communication. More information about me.
