FEATURED NEOLOGISM:

Among neologisms, I particularly appreciate portmanteau words. In the field of linguistics, for example, words like “lexiculture” (GALISSON, Robert, «Culture et lexiculture partagées: les mots comme lieux d’observation des faits culturels», Éla. Études de linguistique appliquée, 1988, n. 69, p. 74-90) and “sociolexicography” (BUSSE, Ulrich, «Lexicography as a Sign of the Times. A Study in Socio-Lexicography», in Symposium on Lexicography X, De Gruyter, 2002, URL: https://doi.org/10.1515/9783110933192.49, last accessed July 13, 2023) perfectly embody the spirit of certain terms that identify realities typical of specific cultures.
