FEATURED NEOLOGISM:
“Meta-Legend”: My student and I have found this term. ‘Meta-Legend’ is a literary genre that reinterprets the narrative of any myth or legend from a modern and critical perspective. The character or narrator is aware of the traditional form of the narrative and reflects this awareness to the reader by using some methods throughout the fiction. The narrator may suddenly address the reader, unexpectedly refer to a modern time, or place a random object on the side of the road, stating that this object will be used at the moment of a character’s death in the future, both giving a surprise information about the plot and creating a remarkable effect by deliberately disrupting the flow of the narrative.
By promoting awareness of lexical innovation, I would like to highlight the significance of neologisms for linguistic diversity and cultural identity. I can actively engage researchers, institutions, and language professionals through dissemination efforts, reinforcing the importance of terminological precision in various domains. Additionally, I provide support to other group members by facilitating interdisciplinary dialogue and research initiatives. I would like to connect my field experience to experts from diverse linguistic and research traditions and strengthen international cooperation, enhance terminology development, and contribute to the evolution of lexicological studies worldwide.
