Petar Božović is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Philology, University of Montenegro. He teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in legal translation, translation and culture, academic writing, and legal English at the Faculty of Law. Petar’s research interests include corpus-based and experimental translation studies, with a focus on legal and audiovisual translation, corpus linguistics, and legal English.
In addition to his work at the University of Montenegro, Petar has taught academic English to Ph.D. students at the University for Foreigners in Perugia and has been a visiting lecturer at several institutions through the Erasmus+ mobility program, including the University of Ljubljana, University of Warsaw, and University of Osijek. He has also served as a guest lecturer at the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb.
Petar is the author and co-author of two university textbooks on English for specific purposes and has actively participated in EU-funded projects focused on languages for specific purposes at the university level. He has published research papers in numerous peer-reviewed indexed journals and contributed to Brill’s Encyclopedia of Slavic Languages and Linguistics. Additionally, he is an experienced conference interpreter, having worked with various national and international organizations and agencies, including the Council of Europe, the World Health Organization, and many others.
