Sorina CIOBANU is a lecturer at the Department of English, Faculty of Letters, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, where she teaches courses of English Linguistics (Text and Discourse Analysis; Corpus Linguistics) and Translation (e.g., Specialised Translation; Translation Evaluation). Author of the book Translation Patterns at Term Level (2017), she has been a member of several international projects (e.g., Text Link – Structuring Discourse in Multilingual Europe, EFFORT – Towards a European Framework for Translation). Her main areas of research are translation and terminology, discourse and text analysis, in which she has authored or co-authored several papers published in international journals.
