FEATURED NEOLOGISM:
My favorite neologisms are lexical blends as they are fascinating forms of wordplay. A great example in English is the noun “turducken”, which was aptly coined to designate a dish consisting of a turkey stuffed with a duck that has been stuffed with a small chicken.
I am a morphologist and the coeditor of “La néologie en langue de spécialité : détection, implantation et circulation des nouveaux termes” (Publications du CRTT, 2014), “Perception, réception et jugement des néologismes” (special issue of Neologica, 2020) and “La néologie des langues romanes : nouvelles approches, dynamiques et enjeux ” (Peter Lang, 2021).
